I'M HOOKED!

Making bags is just too much fun, i tell ya! Maybe I like it becos I really WON'T make clothes for myself. But it's a little something for me that is so practical plus it only takes afew hours from start to finish.

FLOOR MAT

Yay! I did it ... a patchwork quilted floor mat.

I machine sewed the batting, backing fabric which is a old towel (right side facing upward) and patchwork (wrong side facing upward) leaving a small gap for turning right side out. After which I handstitched the opening closed and .... ta da!

FRENCHY BAG

I had a go at making the frenchy bag by Amy Bulter WITHOUT a ready pattern. It was pretty simple and unfussy.

I made this version mini ... just big enough to hold my phone, wallet, keys and makeups.

QUILTED TOTE BAG

Did this quilted tote bag last night. I didn't use a pattern and had a terrible time trying to match up everything. I used both batting and iron-on interfacing for the body. Wanted to pipe both inside lining, the outside and the strap. But found it alittle too complicated. I think it is pretty ok as it is, right.

So ... last night, I worked out a similar pattern and ... I DID IT!!

MESSENGER BAG

Made this little messenger bag for Keegan. It was done using the iron-on interfacing method to keep the bag in shape. I am very happy with the finished bag. Thnk I'll make one for myself too!! Kekeke ...
